OUR FAMILY
Sergia, Massimo and little Leonardo are waiting for you at their country house to spend a wonderful vacation immersed in the nature, close to Lake Garda, in the heart of Trentino. In Valle dei Laghi people, scents, sounds and colors are still like they used to be. Our B&B is located in a sunny position in Coste of Vigo Cavedine, on the slopes of Mount Gaggio. A village with a rural soul, where the cultivation of cereals and grains from which ancient-flavored breads are made alternates with vineyards that produce excellent wines. A perfect place for the slow tourism that wants to fully enjoy nature. Choosing Coste del Gaggio means enjoying the simple things of nature such as waking up to the sound of birds, walk barefoot in the grass, meeting a deer, a fox or a squirrel while walking in the wood, watching a starry sky wrapped in a blanket, listen to the silence.
LIFESTYLE
Years ago we made a lifestyle choice that brought us closer to nature and led us to live in an isolated and peaceful place, though close to everything we love. A choice helped by the development of new technologies, which satisfy our desire of comfort but also of living in harmony with nature. Thus, we decided to use the most recent green technologies to build a highly energy efficient building, which is powered entirely by renewable energy sources. All rooms have large windows to feel immersed in the surrounding landscape even when you are inside your nest. In the summer, you can sit on the covered terrace enjoying a stunning view on the mountains and an excellent breakfast prepared with eggs from our happy chickens, herbal teas and homemade jams, cakes and bread prepared with our flour and vegetables from our garden. All accompanied by a selection of local products, such as honey, mountain cheese, speck and salami.
THE FARM
We recently started the procedure to be certified as organic farm. We grow different types of vegetables, wheat and corn, from which we obtain an excellent wholemeal corn flour for “polenta”, a typical dish from the Trentino region.
THE PLACE
The valley of Cavedine, a long and well exposed valley, has remained almost intact over time: a rural location with small and traditional villages where slow tourism is at home. The ideal place to regenerate our psycho-physical balance. We are just 15 minutes from Riva del Garda on Lake Garda and 25 minutes from the city of Trento. Near Coste del Gaggio you can find Lake Cavedine that is part of the Sarca River Park, the natural park that starts from the snow-covered glaciers of the Dolomites. Lake Cavedine is the heart of the “Marocche”, an expanse of boulders of post-glacial origin. The Castle of Drena with its enviable view and the Castle of Arco on the rock are less than 10 minutes away.
